About project
Project “The Development of a Picturesque Driving Route in Vilnius City and its Environs”
This website has been designed as part of the project “The Development of a Picturesque Driving Route in Vilnius City and its Environs” implemented by Vilnius City Municipality Administration.
The project is implemented from 1 January 2007 until 16 June 2008.
The project is co-financed by the Republic of Lithuania and the European Regional Development Fund.
The aim of the project is to promote auto tourism in Vilnius city and its environs, develop the current tourist information system of the capital, expand diversification of tourism resources and services, and improve accessibility of places attractive to Vilnius residents and guests located further from the city centre.
The route is oriented to residents of other Lithuanian cities and towns who come to Vilnius by car, foreign guests, and Vilnius residents who want to know the city and its environs better.
The outcome of the project is a picturesque route for travellers by car in Vilnius and its environs.
Project results:

• The communication and marketing strategy and the public relations plan for the picturesque driving route have been drafted.
